Tietronix Receives Phase II funding to Continue Development of Novel Medical Imaging Techniques for Software – Based Ultrasound

Tietronix has received funding under the Small Business Innovation and Research (SBIR) program from NASA to continue development of novel medical imaging techniques in software-based ultrasound.

Tietronix has developed an advanced interface for the FUS that combines an advanced Augmented Reality head mounted display with positional sensors to create the first 3-Dimensional, real-time procedural guidance interface for a medical device. The system can show users exacting procedural detail, but monitor and provide real-time in situ feedback to enhance procedural efficiency and competency.  Additionally, machine learning enables users to analyze image streams while examinations are being conducted to achieve high quality, interpretable ultrasound studies by non-expert users.  Phase I was successfully completed and demonstrated to NASA, GE Healthcare and many government and commercial partners with interest in this advanced medical capability. Tietronix Software will expand these capabilities for a broader range of medical conditions in the Phase II of this project.
